Questions get harder when you answer well, easier when you don't. There is no fixed length - the test stops as soon as it has pinpointed your level. An incorrect answer is not a bad sign; it just tells the test to ease up.
The quick check takes about 20 minutes. At the end you see your level and can either keep your result or continue into the full assessment - about 25 more minutes with a speaking task and a more detailed breakdown. Your progress auto-saves for 48 hours - reopen on the same device to resume.
Your answers and, in the speaking part, your short voice recordings are processed only to work out your level. Scoring uses Google Gemini AI - you are tested by a program, not a person.
